Based in Tokyo, we design homes and retreats set in nature. We have completed work in Karuizawa and Nasu, and we welcome new inquiries from around Utsunomiya, Oyama, Mibu, and Mashiko in Tochigi Prefecture.

Karuizawa and villa areas

On a forest site, design begins by reading the trees, the terrain, and the light and cold of each season. Villa areas sometimes set their own rules on building height, appearance, and site use, so we are glad to be consulted from the stage of choosing land. Nasu

How do we live and spend time in winter cold and in a wide natural site? We plan insulation and heating together with how the building opens to the landscape. In Nasu, we designed accommodation for workations.

Tochigi (Utsunomiya, Oyama, Mibu, Mashiko)

Sites range from flat residential districts to land beside fields and hills. We begin by walking the site together and hearing the time and scenery you want to live with, for new houses and renovations alike. Around Mashiko, we also think about homes suited to a life with pottery and handwork.
